The communication about the progress was excellent. The interviews were conducted in a conversational style, making them feel less like an interview and more like a chat. They were really helpful throughout the whole process.
I had a pretty negative experience overall. The people were nice, but it took way too long (4 weeks) and I didn't know what was going on. It's super disappointing to hear that I didn't get the job because I apparently have too much experience or ambition for a junior role, especially since I only have a year of internship experience and just graduated. I was really looking forward to this position, but that's life. I just wish they'd let me know sooner. They should be more upfront and not leave candidates hanging for so long, as it gives false hope. The job description also could have been clearer about what the role actually involves, particularly for a niche position like this.
The interview process could be improved by having HR reps more familiar with the company and the role. My interviewer was late and seemed unprepared, only asking me to talk about myself, making it hard to have a meaningful conversation. I felt like just another number, not a candidate being genuinely considered. A more structured interview would be more valuable for both sides.
