It was a multi-step interview process, but not too intense. I had a couple of initial chats with hiring managers. Then, there were four 45-minute one-on-one interviews with different people from the business. They asked me behavioral questions using the STAR method. The interviewers were a mix of people, from upper management down to associate-level individual contributors.
The interview process was quick and efficient, with good communication throughout. I felt the interviewers were genuinely interested in getting to know me, rather than just going through a checklist. I spoke with a team member based in Australia and another in India for the role, which is located in Australia.
The recruiters and coordinators were super slow to respond. They also messed up my interview scheduling twice and made me wait for weeks after they had already scheduled it incorrectly. The whole process dragged on for over two months, which felt like they were just trying to find more candidates. Honestly, it was the worst interview experience I've ever had.
