It was a 3 interview process including a live coding interview, a technical interview and a values screening interview. Even though they do not expect managers to code they want to test this ability. The technical interview involved a white boarding session on architecture.
First, I had a call with HR to discuss my background. She mentioned that team fit would be evaluated after I complete the remaining 3 interview stages.
It's a 5 step process. Starts with HR screening call, then 4 interviews. Each interview is 60-90 minutes long. Technical Interview, Operational Excellence, Technical Interview, Architecture & System Design, Hiring Manager Interview, Atlassian Values.
