The interview had one round that was mainly behavioral questions. They wanted to know if you've read their publications. You needed to discuss the region, your strengths and weaknesses, your organization style, how you handle multitasking, and be specific about the program.
It was a panel interview with three interviewers. They asked some theoretical geopolitical questions. I don't remember any other subject-specifics, but the interviewers were very friendly and kind, even though I could tell I didn't get the internship.
The interview process was pretty chill and straightforward, not too difficult or confusing questions. They were very polite and considerate of my time, though the interview did run a bit longer than expected. They were a few minutes late to the interview, but I think they had someone right before me.
