Candidate-reported interview process

After a great phone interview and reaching out to two employees on LinkedIn for a status update, I was informed they were moving on with other candidates because they didn't like my approach to getting information.

I applied for the UX summer internship, and after submitting my application, I had a phone interview, then an on-site interview. The on-site interview had three parts: first, a brief chat about my resume; second, a design problem to solve on a whiteboard/paper with two UX team members; and third, I presented my portfolio to two design members. I got an offer email about a week later.

I applied in August and heard back from HR in October. The HR recruiter first screened me, then I spoke with the Design Hiring Manager. The HR recruiter asked about my background, why I'm interested in the company, my skills, and some project-related stuff. Then, I had an interview with the Design Manager who asked about my projects and some specific behavioral questions. The whole thing was straightforward, and everyone was really nice. Sadly, I didn't make it to the next stage.
