Candidate-reported interview process

I had a phone screening with HR that included behavioral questions. After that, I had a virtual interview with the team, and then another one with the hiring manager.

The interviewer was nice but mostly focused on getting through his questions rather than having a conversation. It was tough to connect. I was asked about my knowledge of APHA and my motivation for the role. Then, we went through several behavioral questions asking for specific examples of past situations. I managed to ask a few questions about the job and the team, but the interviewer didn't have much information to share. I was informed that my application would be forwarded to a hiring manager who would contact me for an in-person interview if they were interested. Ultimately, I didn't hear back, and my follow-up email about the job status went unanswered.

Applied online and got a response from HR the next day. Had an HR phone screen, then two in-person panel interviews. The questions were fair if you prepared. Make sure you know the job description well and can show how your past experiences connect to the duties listed.
