I had a 30-minute one-on-one video call with the customer support supervisor. We talked about the job and what the role involves. They asked me some normal interview questions, and I got the job offer at the end.

Applied online for the digital marketing role because it was something different. Explained that while I have marketing experience, I was looking for a company willing to let me learn their business using my skills, and they said it was fine if I didn't have industry knowledge. After the interviews, I was told they hired someone with industry experience instead. My advice is to be upfront in the job description if you require industry experience and vet candidates for it, rather than setting up interviews that waste our time and create negative experiences.
