Candidate-reported interview process

I had my first interview with a senior designer where we went through my portfolio. They asked me behavioral and technical questions about general menswear situations. Then, I had a project where I had to design a capsule collection. After that, I had a second interview where I discussed my design process and thoughts for the collection I created.

It was a terrible experience with HR communication. I was given a large design project with 16 looks to complete, but I didn't receive any feedback. I would not suggest applying for jobs like this; it was poorly organized with no communication and no feedback despite the time and effort put into the project. It was very disappointing.

I did a work placement at ASOS, so the interview felt like more of a formality as I already knew the team and structure. You are mainly speaking in the interview, talking through your portfolio, the reasons behind your ideas, your influences.
