Got only to the phone screen stage. The interviewer was quite sexist and ageist, asking a lot of questions about my age and ethnicity that didn't seem relevant to the job or my work experience at all. Some questions felt illegal, like they were trying to figure out my age without any relation to my work capabilities.
I applied via Linkedin and was contacted about a different role. I agreed to an interview, which was a phone call with HR. The call was about 10 minutes. I didn't get any further communication, so I emailed them to find out I wasn't selected for the next stage.
It was a phone interview. The HR set up a time and started the interview punctually. She started with basic questions like asking me to introduce myself. The HR was very friendly because this was my first interview and I was very nervous; she helped me feel more at ease. Some questions were similar to what I saw on Glassdoor, such as inquiries about the target customer and the competitive landscape. Towards the end, she inquired about my knowledge of machine learning and the programming languages I'm familiar with.
