Candidate-reported interview process

I had a telephone interview, then a Skype interview, and finally an in-person interview at their London office. The communication about the in-person interview was really bad; it wasn't confirmed until the day before. When I got there, I was told the person who was supposed to interview me was out. Later, I found out the department was restructuring and they weren't hiring for the role anymore. This was frustrating because I had to travel from Manchester and stay overnight.

I had a relaxed and pleasant 30-40 minute chat with the Immediate Manager. They asked questions that went beyond just asking about my relevant experience, assuming that would be clear from my CV.

I had a phone interview, then a Skype interview. The final stage was a face to face interview in London. When I got there, the interviewer wasn't available and I wasn't given a reason. So, I just did the online tests and left. HR took two weeks to respond after a lot of chasing, saying they'd done another headcount and weren't recruiting for the role anymore, and no further feedback was provided. I spent £50 on a train ticket and a hotel for this.
