It was a pretty chill interview. The interviewer asked me about my work and how process parameters affect film properties. She also asked me if I can visualize and explain the whole system that I am working on. She just asked one behavioral question on conflict.
The process was professional and moved quickly. I had three interview rounds in total, with two conducted online and one in person. Everyone I interacted with, including the interviewers and HR, was friendly and professional. The questions they asked were relevant to the job. The only downside was the office location being quite far and not near any MRT station.
The interview process was quite lengthy and demanding. It started with an HR screening call, followed by interviews with line "hiring" managers who seemed unsure about the specific teams they were hiring for. Next, I spoke with the local head, and then the international head. There were also some HR follow-up exchanges interspersed throughout. Ultimately, I was informed that due to the current economic climate, there's a hiring freeze. While everyone I interacted with was pleasant, the line managers appeared unprepared for questions regarding leadership and the overall work culture.
