First, I had a phone call with HR to discuss things like salary needs and if I'm authorized to work here. Then, I did a twenty-minute presentation about my previous research from my PhD.
The interview process felt really long and drawn out. First, there was an HR interview. Then, some HR questions with the PIs. After that, a quick 15-minute technical talk with the PIs about my dissertation. Next, I had an onsite interview where I gave a 1-hour dissertation talk to the whole team. Finally, I interviewed with the CTO, who was really aggressive and abrasive, exuding toxic masculinity and being demeaning. While the rest of the team was nice, his attitude made the whole experience negative. Glad I didn't get the job.
