It was a 2 part interview process, taking about 2 weeks total. The first part was a phone call with HR, and the second part was an in-person meeting with the management of the department. Overall, it was a very relaxed and straightforward process.
The interview process was quick and friendly, with interactive interviewers who seemed knowledgeable. It started with a phone interview, followed by a resume review and a technical skills assessment, which felt more like a casual conversation than a formal interview.
I was working with a third party recruiting firm for this role. I had to talk to six people from the recruiting firm before I could talk to anyone from Ascend. It was a basic brief phone screen that I repeated with a few different people.
