So I was hit up on LinkedIn and the first thing was a quick discovery call with the talent associate. After that, I had an intro call with the manager of the team they were hiring for. Then, they had me do a mock discovery call like I was talking to a customer, then a rotating interview with 4 people, and a mock presentation. I got to the 4 person interview but then they dropped me from the process.
What really struck me about interviewing at Asana was how friendly and approachable everyone was. It felt less like a chore and more like a conversation. They've clearly hired and trained people who are genuinely engaged and positive. I actually enjoyed the product demonstration part; it was a fun and interesting way to learn about the product, and the questions and preparation felt very realistic.
It started with a recruiter screen where the recruiter was helpful. She told me about the role, requirements, pay, and the interview process. The first round was with the Hiring manager, then stacked interviews with 3 managers from teams next to mine, and the final round was a presentation. I got rejected after the second round.
