Asana Product Manager interviews, decoded.

It starts with a phone interview, then you do a presentation, followed by 1:1s with key cross-functional stakeholders. The interviews are pretty standard PM rounds, and the presentation is the most important part. Spend a good chunk of time preparing for it. If you nail that, the rest of the interviews are just about selling yourself to Asana.

The recruiters were great at organizing and communicating. The interviewers were nice and positive, but the questions and overall process felt really generic, like it could have been for any company or product. It seemed like they weren't sure what they were looking for, prioritizing people who interviewed well over those with specific skills or experience.

I did the product sense interview, prepared for it, and spent an hour interviewing, but then got ghosted. I emailed the recruiter for an update and they didn't reply. Super unprofessional, if I wasn't a fit, they should have just told me.
