First, a recruiter had a quick virtual chat. After that, I had a technical interview with someone from the product team where they asked about my design process and past experiences.
All interviews go through the same steps. Some interviews might be different depending on the job. You'll start with an application review, then a recruiter phone call, followed by a portfolio deep dive. After that, there will be onsite interviews, then a hiring team review, and finally an offer extension.
Got an internal referral. Recruiter contacted me weeks later, by which time they'd already extended an offer to someone else. The call went well, and they said if that candidate declined, I'd speak with the hiring manager. They promised an update but ghosted me instead. Pretty bad form, especially for an internal referral.
