Candidate-reported interview process

The interview process was clearly communicated and executed, although I did have an expedited process as they were looking to identify a candidate quickly. It consisted of a screening with the recruiter, followed by a hiring manager screen, and a final round with 4x 30-45min interviews spread over a week.

I applied online and heard back from a recruiter within a week. The recruiter call was good - she was upfront about the search status and next steps. Then I talked to the HM's manager. That interview was fine and we discussed the role and what's needed to improve ops at Asana. The next part was a back-to-back panel interview with 3 people. This was a bit odd. Each person had 3 questions (situational) they had to ask. You couldn't use the same examples for different interviewers. Because the interviews were short, it was all about these questions. There wasn't enough time to discuss my background or for me to ask about the company. It felt very scripted. Not a great experience.

I had an initial recruiter call setup for this role because it sounded really exciting to me. The recruiter was nice, but the call was short, less than 10 minutes. When asked about my experience, the recruiter realized I didn't have a specific pre-requisite that wasn't mentioned in the job description, which I thought I met the qualifications for. I pointed this out, and they apologized. I'd love to apply for a similar role at Asana again, but I'm rating this negatively because I didn't get a chance to show my skills or interest, even though I prepared and was excited about it.
