Candidate-reported interview process

The interview process was pretty standard. It kicked off with a phone screen by HR, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. After that, there was a panel interview with team members. While nothing was really a surprise, I felt like the first round lacked enthusiasm compared to the HR call. Asana seems like a good company and I like their product, but the interview itself was a bit disappointing. I wasn't sure what the hiring manager's main priorities were, so I prepared for things that turned out to be less important to them than I expected. On the plus side, HR was great and responsive.

I got a call from a recruiter to do a phone screen. Scheduling was super easy with Calendly, but then the hiring manager decided to go with internal candidates.

So first I talked to HR, then the hiring manager, and then there were like 2 rounds of interviews with some of the peers. Weirdly, no prep was needed for any of it.
