First, a recruiter called me. Then, I had a conversational screening with a senior manager. Lastly, I interviewed with 4 team members back-to-back, covering technical, behavioral, and case questions.
The interview process had 3 rounds totalling of 6 interviews. All the interviews went well with the head of the department hinting of getting an offer. Did not hear back from the company for 4 weeks after the final interview. Result: they went ahead with an internal candidate.
I had a conversational interview where the interviewer wanted to know about my experiences and skills, with a focus on technical knowledge of Networking and WiFi being very important. Although HR mentioned it would be a Panel interview, it turned out to be one-on-one. I was initially contacted for a second round. However, the day before that interview, HR canceled it via text and followed up with an email. Later that evening, HR called about another unapproved position and informed me I was no longer being considered for the Product Manager role. The HR rep was friendly, but communication between HR and hiring managers could be more aligned.
