It started with an HR chat, then I talked to the Engineering Manager for a team fit, then I had a technical session with two engineers. They asked some technical stuff and then we did a coding exercise. I had to fix some code from an old project and complete a coding challenge. They ghosted me after two weeks, I sent two emails but no response. Super unprofessional, really disappointing.
First, I had an HR call. Then, I had a team fit interview with the Engineering manager. After that, I had a technical round with engineers from the project where they asked some technical questions and then we focused on coding. I had to solve 3 tasks in Typescript, 2 small and 1 complex.
First up was a chat with an Engineering Manager from Hungary about the role, what they're looking for, and the pay range. Then a quick intro call with a US HR person. After that, I had another chat with the Hungarian EM and a senior engineer, mostly going over my past work and some random questions. The last part had two technical interviews: one was a TypeScript coding test with algorithm stuff like comparing binary trees and fixing code, and the final one was a system design round where I had to do some prep work and then present it live.
