They were hiring for a new office in San Francisco (they are based out of San Diego) and I talked to the head of the division. The interview was labeled a Product and Culture interview.
First, I had a recruiter call, which seemed promising as it felt like a good company with a real mission. Then, the technical interview was a disaster. I was given a javascript concurrency problem involving arrays and queues, using outdated 'var' syntax. It felt like a problem that needed drawing out and thinking time, but instead, I was basically dressed down until it was over, and then dismissed.
Reached the second round of interviews. They asked some JavaScript questions and array manipulation questions in both rounds and asked me to code the solution live on Zoom. Overall, it was an okay experience.
