You'll first speak with HR, then the director or manager of the team, then possibly some team members, and maybe some attorneys from the group you'd be supporting.
So first I had to do a written assessment, which was basically to draft an email to a client regarding some new legislation that came out that affects their intellectual property. Then I had two interviews. The first one was more about my motivations and general competencies, and the second one was focused more on my motivations and commercial awareness.
It was a simple 30-minute interview that really dug into the technical skills needed for the role. They asked the usual stuff like why I wanted the job and about my future plans, and if I'd dealt with cases involving disputes between states.
