This interview process felt way too high-level for what turned out to be a very entry-level job where you can't do anything independently, not even send an email! It made me think they were looking for someone for a senior role. They should have asked if I like being watched constantly and getting rude feedback on simple things.
It started with a phone interview, which was tough since you couldn't see their faces and they didn't give much feedback verbally - just be ready for that and you'll be alright. Then there was a writing assessment, which I thought I did great on, but I messed up the submission and missed the deadline.
I submitted my application online and the entire process wrapped up in about two weeks. It kicked off with a phone screening, followed by a case study where I had to act as a hypothetical auditor and propose recommendations based on a given scenario. They also requested a five-page writing sample to gauge my writing skills. If they were happy with my submission, they set up a virtual interview via Microsoft Teams. This interview again involved a case study to assess my analytical abilities, along with some standard interview questions. Following that, if everything went well, I provided my professional references, and they then scheduled an in-person interview.
