Arcadia.io Software Engineer interviews, decoded.

The interview process was a mess. I was initially contacted about an onsite interview. It took them forever to answer my basic questions about the company and the process, and I was bounced between recruiters. Eventually, they answered my questions and set up the onsite. On the day of the interview, my scheduled interviewer didn't show up. After a 20-minute wait, two other people came to interview me. Following the interview, my coordinator was silent for over a month. After I sent two follow-ups and CC'd their general recruiting email, I finally got a generic rejection. The whole experience made Arcadia seem disorganized and unprofessional.

An internal recruiter reached out via LinkedIn and scheduled a prescreen phone interview. They missed the original call and emailed me to reschedule about 15 minutes later. During the rescheduled call, they asked typical questions about my background and experience and whether I would be comfortable with certain requirements like travel. The interviewer mentioned they were new and didn't know much about the company when I asked questions. I was told to get in touch if I was offered another job, but I never heard back. The whole thing seemed disorganized.
