It's a pretty standard interview and hiring process. You'll have a phone chat, then an in-person interview (done via video call because of covid), and they'll check your references. Depending on the role's level, there might be another call.
Applied online, had an informal phone interview. Then I submitted a formal application with writing samples & references. Had a chill, one-hour interview in office. They asked me for a third reference and didn't get back to me for 2 weeks, but they did contact all three references.
I got referred by someone we both knew. After submitting my resume, I had a phone interview within two days. Within a week, I met with the project manager for the contract role in person. We worked out some details, and I got a contingent offer. The background check took a while because of a backlog with the government agency. I've now accepted the final offer and set my start date. The HR team was great throughout – pleasant, polite, and quick to respond. Even when we disagreed a bit, it never felt like a fight, and it didn't leave a bad feeling. I was a little worried after seeing other reviews, so I made sure to get the specifics about the contract early on.
