Aptiv Manager interviews, decoded.

It was a good start with the TA team, and the whole process was professional. They were helpful and made it easy to understand. I got a good overview of Aptiv's structure and culture.

So I had this interview that was basically a call with a group of heads of departments. The interview itself was pretty good, everyone was really friendly and it was handled well. But then, crickets. I got zero feedback afterward, and I've even tried reaching out to the internal recruiter who was involved.

Started with an HR contact, then they asked for my resume. The job wasn't what was advertised, different authority level. They did offer more money, so I agreed to an interview. The manager was driving during the interview, which felt impolite, and no one from HR followed up. It seemed like the decision was already made and they just needed to tick a box. The manager admitted they didn't know what they were doing and were looking for help to improve things. The conversation then shifted to philosophical questions.
