First, a recruiter called me. Then I had an interview call with the hiring manager. After that, I got a take-home role-play assignment. Then, I did a Zoom role-play with the VP and the BDR Manager. Finally, I had a call with the manager and the recruiter. I got an offer!
It was a good interview process, just a bit on the long side. Started with a recruiter call, then a chat with the Hiring Manager. After that, there was a substantial, though enjoyable, homework assignment. Finally, a feedback interview where the hiring manager went over the homework.
I recently started at AppSumo as a Senior Account Manager. The interview process was pretty efficient; it mainly involved a take-home assignment and a presentation, which was a good way to show what I can do. Everyone on the team was really friendly and kept in touch, so it all felt very smooth and nice. I liked that the steps were clear, making it obvious what AppSumo looks for. Overall, it's been a really positive experience, and I'm keen to get started at a company that clearly values both speed and skill in hiring.
