Candidate-reported interview process

The interview process with Appian started off well with a good phone screen and then a 45 minute video call with the hiring manager. Unfortunately, it ended abruptly with an automated rejection email after these two positive conversations. I reached out to confirm if there was a mistake and express my continued interest, but my HR contact's response was brief and a follow-up request for feedback went unanswered. It felt like they lacked a human touch.

Great experience overall. Three rounds of interviews. First round was a brief phone call with an HR representative. Final round was a "Super Day" where candidates talked with multiple people at the company and saw a product demo.

Had a 15-minute phone screen, which was shorter than the scheduled 30 minutes. The interviewer called without a prior appointment, which was unexpected. The questions were standard, but I wasn't ready for them.
