Appian Consultant interviews, decoded.

Had a 15 min phone screening, then a 45 min interview with the hiring manager. Then got ghosted for 6 weeks, and received an email saying they were impressed and wanted to schedule another interview. Accepted, and 30 minutes before the interview they cancelled, stating my WAM wasn't high enough. They interviewed me twice and strung me along for 2 months before noticing something on my resume, LinkedIn and transcript. Absolutely useless! P.S. It should be obvious but please list job requirements on job postings!

I applied on LinkedIn and heard back from a recruiter within a few days for an initial phone call. That call was mainly to go over my resume and my interest in Appian. After that, I had a second round which was a technical interview covering basic SQL and relational database design – it was pretty straightforward. The final round was a three-part interview: behavioral, technical, and a presentation.

The interview process took 4 rounds over 3 weeks and was pretty standard, matching what the recruiter said. They don't give feedback afterward, making it hard to know how you did.
