Candidate-reported interview process

The interview was pretty chill, held at a coffee shop. The interviewer was dressed in linen and flip flops, which seemed to reflect the company vibe. I was asked about past reporting experiences and how I'd handle working with minimal supervision.

First, I had a phone call with HR, and then I spoke with the hiring manager. After that, I had in-person interviews with three different people: the hiring manager, their manager, and a coworker. It was pretty standard, no tricks.

It was a direct and informative process. I took a test with other potential content editors, which felt competitive but also fun because we got to see what the job would actually entail. Before that, I had two interviews with the manager of the content editors, and then an interview with the CEO of the startup that recently got bought by AOL.
