Candidate-reported interview process

I interviewed with the design team, 2 members, the merchant managers of the divisions I would be managing, and the VP of merchandising. I came in on two separate days for these, and was offered the job over the phone.

The interviewer was nice and professional. We chatted about the job, and I got an offer that week, but I decided to go with another role that fit my career path better.

This interview was the most random useless exercise in hiring I've ever experienced. The interviewer seemed to only be interested in talking about themselves and their past jobs, and it was just overall a pretty disconcerting example re the quality of designer managers in current culture.
