Candidate-reported interview process

Call with two people from the Brussels office. They asked about my academic and professional background and my specific interest in consulting. They were looking for research skills but also soft skills because it's consulting, not strictly research. They also asked a technical situation question (mine was about how I'd approach evaluating the impact of a competitor's fraudulent ad campaign on the market). They also want to know if I can explain scientific things simply, likely referring to my thesis or last professional project. The interview was in English.

It was a 30min first round then a 3hr in person. The first round was a resume check and light behaviorals. There were not any super technicals in the first round. Final round had a lot of the same questions but with different emphasis'. Technical interview was brutal though. You have to know your stuff.

I went through three rounds where they checked my behavioral and economic analysis skills. It involved applying theory, interpreting data, explaining my decisions, and refining insights under time pressure and real-world uncertainty using practical cases, discussion, rigor.
