Candidate-reported interview process

The interview process went pretty well. I was interviewed by a VP and a senior consultant. I was a bit nervous, but they were both really nice. I'm looking forward to interviewing for full-time again.

The interview process involved a case study where I was asked about applying economic theory to antitrust cases and the factors affecting ease of entry. They were looking for strong applied skills alongside theoretical knowledge. It was an in-person interview with three interviewers. After not receiving an offer, I was offered a discussion about why.

The interview process included behavioural questions, asking me to describe past experiences and technical questions about those experiences. They also asked me to describe conflicts with coworkers and why I chose consulting. They seemed to have a discriminatory manner against research and didn't care much about academics.
