I applied about 2 months ago and then got invited to interview. My PhD supervisor actually knew some people at the company. The first round was over Microsoft Teams and was pretty informal and laid back. There were some technical questions, but they were nothing that someone who works with data wouldn't be able to answer. I felt like the experience went well and my interviewer was really nice. I was quite surprised I didn't get a second interview.
The interview process involved a first round, which was a 45-minute interview with a VP, focusing on your resume and project ideas. The final round was a 4.5-hour session with four different VPs/managers, featuring back-to-back interviews with more behavioral questions.
They asked me to describe a research project and then answer a case about a real-world data analysis, like how to balance and match two groups of data.
