It was an easy interview process, mostly behavioral questions. I had a panel of four interviews, including an HR rep and three engineers from different engineering sub-departments. The whole thing went on for over an hour and felt pretty relaxed.
I applied online and then the scientist contacted me through email about a phone interview. It was with two interviewers, and they were both super nice. The whole thing was about 30 minutes. They started by asking me about my resume and my current job for the first ten minutes, not really super technical stuff. They asked me things like what in my lab would describe me, when I find time for research, and what a typical day there is like. Then they said they'd see how interested I was in Amgen and the role based on my questions for them. Unfortunately, the position got canceled because there wasn't enough funding for the internship.
I got a phone interview thanks to a personal connection. It moved really fast. The hiring manager called me directly and we set up a phone interview for the next day. My contact also called, but we couldn't talk before the interview because it was Mother's Day and I was already busy. Honestly, this was the least professional interview process I've been through. They didn't even tell me the job title beforehand. The interviewer spoke super fast with a heavy accent, so I had to keep asking them to repeat things. They also showed up an hour late for our interview, didn't apologize, and I could hear them shuffling papers and doing other stuff in the background the whole time.
