Candidate-reported interview process

Had a chat with some of the managers. We talked about what we think about customer service. They really stressed that they want people who are good with customers and have a good attitude, because they can teach you the rest of the job stuff.

I found the job on the university jobs board website. I reached out via email regarding my interest in the role after applying. I followed up again a week later to reiterate my interest in the role. I was then asked to provide my availability for scheduling an in-person interview. The interview went smoothly - it was a relaxed environment. The woman I met with was my boss-to-be and she had great insight into the real tasks the assistant would be assigned in the role. After meeting, I sent a follow-up thank-you email. I found out I got the job 1 week later.

The interview was scheduled last minute, which was a bit surprising given the lack of organization. However, it seemed fairly typical. The interviewers were all nice and asked reasonable questions.
