This company's interview process was pretty quick compared to others. First, I had a chat with the Technical Recruiter. Then, I met with the entire team and went over my portfolio. Finally, there was a design challenge, and then a review of that.

The interview started with a recruiter phone screen, then I had a meeting with the hiring manager and two team members via Microsoft Teams. The hiring manager was great, easy to talk to, and shared good info about the company and the growing design team. Even though I didn't get the offer, the recruiter called me to share the decision, which I appreciated as it felt more respectful than a generic email.

I applied online and heard back from the recruiter in a few days to schedule a phone screen. It was mostly about my background, experience, and qualifications. What was a bit of a bummer was that they asked me situational questions from a list and recorded my answers word-for-word to send to the hiring manager. I felt like it was hard to convey the right context and understanding this way, which was a bit disengaging. Then, about a week later, I got a rejection email.
