Candidate-reported interview process

It was a 3.5 month process. An internal recruiter hit me up on LinkedIn and I did an initial phone screen, which went well. I had a personal delay in my job search and then formally applied 1.5 months later since the role was still open. Instead of another interview, the recruiter wanted me to answer some questions via email, which I'll share below. Then, I had a virtual interview with the hiring manager, and that was it. I found out 10 days later I was the runner-up. It was a good experience overall.

I had virtual interviews with several people, including my potential supervisors. We didn't meet in person. The interviews weren't overly difficult, but they didn't give me enough details about the role to make a decision.

I really wanted this job, so I talked to a lot of partners and former board members. I put together a presentation of my ideas and plans. I thought the interview went well and I was selected for the final review. However, HR later told me I wasn't being considered anymore, and the hiring manager completely stopped responding.
