Had a good chat with HR about the job and company. It's in California and there will be technical interviews.
The recruiter was great and kept me in the loop, but the whole process was super long. The interviews were okay overall, except for the final one with an executive, which was something else. Some people and the recruiter warned me he was a character. The interview questions from the exec were not related to the job and frankly, it was a joke. It also felt ableist. The company seems really disorganized, which didn't make me feel confident about its future. Given how ridiculous that interview was, I would advise against it. The recruiter never sent a formal rejection or any updates after that.
So I had a few interviews: first, a recruiter screen, then a hiring manager screen. After that, it was an onsite interview which had 3 parts - one with the hiring manager, another with the VP of engineering, and a third with a peer product manager. Then I had a take-home case assignment. There might have been another round, but I didn't get that far.
