This was the single worst interview experience. 1 phone screen, 2 coding rounds, 1 design round, 2 very random out of nowhere rounds, and 1 presentation. got rescheduled 3 times, 1 no show, interviewers were disrespectful.
There were 2 rounds of interviews. Both rounds had behavioral questions focused on Amazon's leadership principles. The first round included SQL and behavioral questions, while the second round was resume based (also had theory questions) and included a data manipulation coding exercise using pandas.
It was the first technical screening round. The interviewer asked me to talk about the most interesting project I’ve worked on. He asked some high-level follow-up questions (did not dive into technical details). Then he moved on to the coding part. It was a very easy string-matching problem. I was expecting some more difficult LC-style questions, so I was a bit confused at the beginning. I solved it but it took me much longer than it should. They didn’t move forward with me.
