Amazon Web Services Systems Engineer interviews, decoded.

It was a 5 step process. First, there was a technical assessment which wasn't too hard, but I feel I could have been better prepared. After that, there were 4 rounds of virtual interviews.

Had phone interview with a super nice engineer. I totally s**ked and all my prep went out of the window because I over prepped. So do not over prep for the phone interview as it might surprise you with simple questions. Take your time to think, it's one hour and they just have three questions with some drill ins. Expect one LP question with some drill in, expect one Linux Troubleshooting question, and expect one scripting question.

So first there was a call with an engineer, then an HR catch-up call. The AWS Loop was supposed to be all in one day but got split, with some parts moved to the next day. Finally, an HR call to go over everything. The whole thing took less than a month.
