So the interview started with a recruiter call where we talked about my resume and my interest in cloud computing. Then there was a final interview, which was mostly behavioral, but they threw in a few easy technical questions about AWS basics, networking, and how to fix problems. They really cared about how I communicate, solve problems, and deal with customers. It was more like a chat about how I think, not a hardcore tech test.
It was a behavioural personality assessment and an online assessment, that's all. You should apply to both Toronto and Vancouver. The online assessment focused on what you would do in certain scenarios. Make sure to show off Amazon's leadership principles through the online assessment.
It was a pretty straightforward interview. They focused on situational questions and the interviewer was great at explaining the role and the overall process. They really seemed to know my background as they went into detail about my past work before I even mentioned it, showing they had reviewed my resume.
