Candidate-reported interview process

After submitting my resume, I heard back pretty fast. I had a casual screening call with an Amazon recruiter, and we figured out pretty quickly that the role wasn't the right fit for me. I liked that we had an open discussion about it, and it saved both of us time.

They emailed and called to learn about my experience and background, and asked about past projects to see if I'd be a good fit for the group. I felt the questions they asked and the info they gave me were good enough to make a decision.

The interview was super long, like 8 hours, and mostly focused on Amazon's principles. You'll get a call from HR beforehand with tips. If you follow those and have good charisma, you should be fine. They're looking for people who work hard and are eager to learn because the job is pretty intense.
