Altium Limited Software Engineer interviews, decoded.

I got contacted by the recruiter on LinkedIn. We set up a screening interview, but then about 4 hours before it was supposed to happen, she canceled it for no given reason. When I messaged her to ask if we were still having the call, and if it was rescheduled, she just ghosted me. I have 10 years of experience and have had many interviews, but this is the first time a recruiter has ghosted me without explaining why they canceled.

The first chat with the recruiter was okay and nice. But then I emailed some extra questions and they told me I should have asked them on the call and it felt like I was wasting their time. I thought that was a bit unprofessional and not what I expected for a good candidate experience.

The interview process involved a 1-hour screening call, followed by a 2-hour technical interview. After the technical interview, I was told to expect a decision and feedback within a couple of days, but it's been nearly two weeks with no response. The interviewers seemed more stressed than me and sometimes struggled to organize their thoughts. The technical part was good and covered a wide range of skills expected for a senior engineer, including both technical and soft skills.
