Candidate-reported interview process

It was a pleasant and conversational interview as part of the OCI process. They asked a few questions from my resume, and also a few questions about my interests. I had the chance to ask them a question as well. I was left with a positive impression of the firm.

It was pretty extensive. First, I had an in-person screener with 2 partners. Then, an in-person 2nd round with 4 partners. After that, a zoom with a senior associate and the head of the practice group. Some paperwork and a writing assignment were also part of the process between rounds 1 and 2.

I only made it through the first round of interviews. I interviewed three partners from different offices. The questions were basic, nothing tricky. It took them multiple weeks to get back to me with a "not interested" update. My recruiter wasn't happy with how they handled the rejection.
