I was contacted by a retail recruiter. The email mentioned 'exciting perks' but the conversation offered no details. I had to probe for commuter benefits and potential gym discounts, which seemed like a missed employer branding opportunity. The recruiter was late and sent the Zoom link after the interview started, citing tech issues. Her questions were off-putting and showed a lack of understanding of big box retail, not suitable for a Store Manager role. I received no notification about not moving forward, which could have been a simple email. This lack of communication is another employer branding miss. Based on this experience, I wouldn't shop here.

It was a good interview. Normal questions. Took no more than 30 minutes. The title didn't mention manager, but you were expected to manage staff in the store. They do promote from within. Most stores have the same layout issues from corporate.

It was great meeting everyone who is passionate about the brand. I would recommend the process for future candidates. Overall, it was a great experience with the brand. I love wellness, so it made sense for me.
