Alcatel-Lucent Program Manager interviews, decoded.

I got the interview through an employee referral. There were 3 technical rounds and one HR round. The first two rounds were 1:1 with senior managers. About 40% of questions were about my resume, 50% was situational assessment, and 10% were general questions. The 3rd round was a tough, 1.5-hour telephonic interview with a very senior program manager. It started with my earliest experience and then moved up to my current role, focusing on my career and the deep dive of processes. The last round was a typical HR round.

I got a direct message from HR on a job site. Then, there was a 30-minute phone call, followed by a 1-hour in-person interview.

It was a slow interview process, but thorough. The panel review and the 1x1 discussions were both interesting and intense.
