Candidate-reported interview process

The main technical assessment was a take-home case study, which was pretty cool because it felt like a 'choose your own adventure' where you could make the solution as complex or simple as you wanted within the time limit. I had to brush up on their preferred language/framework since it's been a while, but they said the focus wasn't on tooling 'gotchas'. Besides that, I had a few conversations, and everyone I talked to was great. They all made sure to connect the role back to Albert's success, which made me really excited about the opportunity. The whole hiring process was transparent and they were responsive.

I was contacted through LinkedIn and had an initial conversation with a tech recruiter. They gave me the rundown on the role, the tech stack, and the company. Then, I was given a case study where I had to build an MVP for a fullstack app that met the specified functional and non-functional requirements. After that, I went through two technical interviews with the engineering team. The recruiter kept in touch, letting me know about timelines and what to expect. It was a good experience interviewing with Albert's team; they seem to have a cool product plan and good management.

The interview process was pretty standard, but what set Albert apart was the level of feedback they gave. I ended up not getting the job, but it was highly refreshing that they not only sent a personal email (not one of the auto-rejection emails after going through the whole process), but they delivered feedback as to why they weren't moving forward in a highly professional way. This was so refreshing to experience - getting actual feedback on a technical interview honestly really sets them apart from the pack of tech interviews that are robotic.
