My experience was positive. The team was transparent throughout the process while setting clear and concise expectations. I really appreciated the recruiter for her time and support, as she was extremely communicative throughout the interview process. Even prior to receiving an offer, I felt very supported and I am extremely grateful for that.
The main technical assessment was a take-home case study, which was pretty cool because it felt like a 'choose your own adventure' where you could make the solution as complex or simple as you wanted within the time limit. I had to brush up on their preferred language/framework since it's been a while, but they said the focus wasn't on tooling 'gotchas'. Besides that, I had a few conversations, and everyone I talked to was great. They all made sure to connect the role back to Albert's success, which made me really excited about the opportunity. The whole hiring process was transparent and they were responsive.
The interview process felt very long. First, you'll answer senior-level questions as if you're already in the role. Then, there are two Zoom panel interviews where they ask about your past experience. It's best to use the STAR method and be brief. They also do a typing test on the spot, so make sure you can type well and spell correctly. Honestly, given how long it takes, they should pay us for the application process.
