HR reached out via email with clear communication. Then I had a 1-hour in-person interview with the manager, without HR. We talked about the position and I got a good overview of the company. After 3 weeks, I received incomplete feedback via email; it was a general email and they didn't respond when I asked for detailed feedback.
It was a pleasant experience. I interviewed with the managers I would be working with. They clearly explained how things are done in the lab and how the company operates.
So basically they don't negotiate or communicate. There were two interviews, spaced about 3 weeks apart. They didn't post a salary range upfront. I got an offer, made a counter-offer asking for 10% more base and a later start date. Instead of negotiating, they took back the offer a week later, no explanation.
